Why will my siphon not break?
Usually the inflow is too high and keeps it primed. Reduce flow slightly until it drains fully — the clear housing makes this easy to see.
Does bed depth matter?
Yes — trim the standpipe to leave 1–2 in of dry media at the top of the flood. The instructions walk through it.
