Questions, answered
Does it include growing media?
No — 32 cubic feet of clay pebbles is a lot to ship affordably, so we let you source it locally. The guide lists what to buy.
Can I use it above ground on a deck?
Full of wet media it is very heavy. Confirm your deck is rated for the load, or place it on grade.
Pairs well with
Why we grow it this way
Production-scale growing
This is the grow bed built to pair with a 275-gallon IBC tank in a proper 1:1 ratio. A 4×8 ft flood-and-drain bed, twelve inches deep for real root run, on a stainless frame that shrugs off a decade of greenhouse humidity. The food-grade HDPE liner and included bell-siphon assembly turn fish water into a garden.
It holds 32 cubic feet of media — enough to grow fruiting crops, not just greens.
Sizing a system? The aquaponics field guide covers the tank-to-bed ratio.
What growers say
Built to last
The stainless frame is overkill in the best way. Two seasons in a humid greenhouse and zero rust. Bell siphon started cycling first try.
Great bed, buy media locally
Solid and deep enough for my tomatoes. Just know you supply the 32 cu ft of pebbles yourself — that adds up.
