Honest note: nozzles clog if you neglect the filter or run hard water. On municipal hard water we saw buildup in weeks — an inline RO or monthly citric-acid soak fixed it entirely.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How much maintenance does it need?

Rinse the filter weekly and soak the nozzles in citric acid monthly. Skipping this is the main cause of clogged nozzles.

Is this good for a first hydroponic build?

Honestly, no — start with a DWC bucket or NFT channel. Aeroponics is the fastest but least forgiving method.

Why we grow it this way

Roots in the air

Aeroponics suspends roots in open air and feeds them a fine 50-micron fog. With that much oxygen at the root zone, plants grow noticeably faster than in water culture. This is a high-pressure setup — a real 80 PSI diaphragm pump, brass nozzles, an accumulator tank, and a cycle timer — not a low-pressure toy.

It rewards attention. Keep the filter clean and the cycles tight and it is the fastest way we know to grow. Skip maintenance and clogged nozzles will remind you.

Fastest roots I have grown

Clones root in days, not weeks. It is more fuss than my DWC but the speed is real. Keep the filter clean and it just works.

Powerful but not beginner-friendly

Took me a weekend to tune the timer cycles. Once dialed in, growth is impressive. Not my first hydro system and I would not recommend it as one.

Great when maintained, clogs when not

Two nozzles clogged in the first month on my hard water. The monthly soak solved it but I wish that were clearer up front. Performance is excellent otherwise.
