Honest note: peppermint and lemon balm are vigorous spreaders. Keep them in their own pots or a contained bed, or they will crowd the slower herbs like echinacea right out.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Can I grow these indoors?

Most do well on a sunny sill; lavender and echinacea prefer to move outdoors once established. The care cards note each one.

Are the plants ready to harvest?

They are young starters — give them a season to establish before serious harvesting. Peppermint and lemon balm come on fastest.

Why we grow it this way

Start a home apothecary

The understory of an agroforestry system is where medicinal herbs belong, and this kit is the friendliest way in. Six live starters — lavender, chamomile, echinacea, peppermint, lemon balm, and calendula — arrive in biodegradable coir pots, each with a care card covering growing, harvest timing, drying, and traditional use.

The field guide walks 30+ preparations from teas to tinctures.

Lovely little starter garden

All six arrived healthy in their coir pots. The care cards are genuinely useful and my chamomile tea this year came from my own windowsill.

Contain the mint

Great plants and a helpful guide. Heed the warning about peppermint — I potted it separately and saved my lavender.
